VIDEO: Felon tries to outrun Wisconsin Deputies on 18-Mile Chase, Tries Airport Taxiway Getaway and ends up Losing

On May 19, a Fond Du Lac County deputy spotted a familiar face—or rather, a familiar car—linked to a previous police chase out of Grand Chute. After noticing an equipment violation, the deputy initiated a traffic stop. Naturally, the driver responded like a rational law abiding adult… by flooring the gas pedal and taking off down rural roads.

More deputies eventually joined the fun as this rocket scientist drove like he had a death wish—leaving the road, smashing into a squad car, and somehow still keeping it his shitbox mobile.

Meanwhile, a female passenger called 911 from inside the car, screaming to be let out—which tells you just how chill this joyride really was. Deputies tossed out stop sticks, but of course, this fake stunt driver kept going.

Just to spice things up, the chase got so close to the Fond du Lac Airport that they had to pause air traffic. A PIT maneuver was attempted on the taxiway (because why not?), but when that didn’t work, the suspect just drove through a field like a meth-fueled lawnmower and tried to get back on the highway.

Finally, deputies boxed him in after a second PIT maneuver, and the circus came to a close. All three of the clowns inside of the vehicle were taken into custody. The driver, Chaz Young, shocker, is on parole for a long resume of felony hits—felony flight, drugs, reckless endangerment, the usual greatest hits. During the pursuit Chaz had also threw a backpack with a loaded gun and drug paraphernalia into a swamp. Spoiler: a K-9 found it in no time.

This clown now faces a mountain of new charges, and rightfully so. Four sheriff’s vehicles were damaged, and one deputy had to be hospitalized—but thankfully was released. Huge respect to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, Fond du Lac PD, and the State Patrol for shutting this circus down. The streets are safer without these amateurs trying to live out their GTA fantasies.

I just want to thank these officers for their service. Some people just don’t realize how dangerous being in law enforcement can be. Glad the officers will be okay.
