MASS SHOOTING NEAR PRINCETON PARK LEAVES 12 INJURED ON CHICAGO SOUTH SIDE AS GUNMEN FLEE IN RED SUV

A brazen mass shooting on Chicago's South Side left twelve people injured on Saturday, June 20, 2026, after two gunmen opened fire into a large crowd from a red SUV near Princeton Park before fleeing the scene. The attack, which sent shockwaves through one of the city's most historically challenged neighborhoods, has prompted an active investigation by the Chicago Police Department, though no suspects have been publicly identified as of the time of this reporting.

The incident represents one of the more alarming single episodes of gun violence to strike Chicago in recent memory, drawing immediate attention from law enforcement and community observers alike. With two victims reported in critical condition, the human toll of the attack remains fluid, and the full scope of the injuries sustained by all twelve victims continues to be assessed by medical personnel at area hospitals.
