FEDERAL BORDER PATROL AGENTS SHOOT ARMED MAN

MINNEAPOLIS — In the latest flashpoint of federal law enforcement action in Minnesota, a Border Patrol-involved shooting unfolded Saturday morning on the streets of Minneapolis, law enforcement sources tell Fox News.

The incident was reported near the intersection of East 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue, where federal officers were engaged in an active enforcement operation. According to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials, the suspect was armed with a firearm and two magazines at the time of the confrontation. This shooting occurs against the backdrop of Operation Metro Surge, an unprecedented federal immigration enforcement deployment in the Twin Cities region that has brought thousands of officers to Minnesota to address criminal illegal immigration and violent offenders.

In recent days, federal agents have faced not only violent offenders but also hostile crowds and direct interference with their duties, including assaults, harassment, and obstruction as officers attempt routine operational tasks. DHS officials have reported agents being harassed, blocked and even pelted while conducting lawful enforcement activities.

Despite intense political pressure and protests, federal law enforcement remains committed to executing its mission — removing dangerous individuals, upholding the rule of law, and protecting communities from criminal elements that exploit weak borders and permissive policies.

This situation continues to develop.
